We would like to welcome you to the preschool room. In this class we will be learning our alphabet and recognizing what the letters look like. Each day we will spend time singing songs, calendar, and the letter of the week as you may have done similar down in the Lion room. We will also spend time doing art each day and working on math and science activities.
Each week we will have a special theme. Our themes will change every two weeks. So we will be doing the same theme for two straight weeks. The week of August 30-Sept 3 it is Preschoolers Start Your Engine. We will be doing fun art activities that are “automobile” related! During the weeks of Sept 6-10 and Sept 13-17 the theme will be Down by the Creek. During this week we will be focusing on ponds, frogs, ducks, ECT. The week of Sept 20-24 and Sept 27- Oct 1 will be Apples, Leaves, and Trees. We will be doing cool art activities such as leaf rubbings, collecting different tree leaves, and creating our own apple tree.
Every Wednesday we be having show and share in which you will bring in an appropriate toy from home that starts with the letter of the week. Example the week of Sept 13-17 you will bring in a toy that starts with the Letter A On Thursdays, our special activity will be journals which will help you with learning your alphabet and developing your hand writing. On Fridays, our special activity will be playing in the sand and water table! J
