Dear Parents:

We have so  many exciting things planned for this month!  We will be taking trips to the library, and travelling around town on field trips.  Here are some of our plans for July:

Week One:  All About Birds—we will be talking about different birds and their habits.  We will be painting with feathers, designing a bird travel book, making paper plate owls, and having an egg fry/egg float activity.

Week Two:Ants, Ants, Ants—we will be discussing ants and their habitats.  We will be making our very own ants, having a special ants in the sand snack,  playing an ant matching game, and making ant collages.  Please remember to pack your child’s lunch on  Thursday of this week, as we will be taking a trip to LeTort park for a picnic.

Week Three:  Super Heroes of the Bible (VBS Week)—we will be having lots of fun learning about heroes of the Bible this week.  We will be making pussy willow trees,  having  a Jesus’ life obstacle course, making crumpled fish, and prayer pals.  There will also be lots of fun and games too. (There will be no sprinkler this week)

Week Four:  Music Time—we will be playing musical games such as musical chairs, freeze dancing, and having an instrument parade.  We will be painting to music, having a chalk dance activity, and jingle bell painting.  We also plan to do a special xylophone music activity with water.
