Monkey Room

Hello:  My name is Cina Mellott.  I was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  My father was an attorney and my mother an elementary school teacher.  I graduated from Hialeah High School and went north to Clarksville, Tenn. to attend Austin Peay State University.  It was there that I majored in elementary education and music.  While at college, I met my husband Daryl, and moved to the Carlisle area in 1973, where he was from.  I have been married for 37 years and have a grown son and daughter, and a husky named Tina.  I began work in this area at a local department store for a short time and then accepted a position with ABC, WHTM channel 27 television as a commercial writer and producer.  After 12 years I decided to move on and try a different field.  As an avid flower and garden enthusiast, I landed a job with Giant foods as a floral buyer.  This job lasted for 15 years until I was recruited by Weis Markets to become the director of their floral department.  After 7 years of commuting to Sunbury every day and traveling to stores in a five state area I decided to move on and use my teaching skills.  I am now looking forward to working with your children through Little Angels Preschool.  I am a member of Waggoner’s United Methodist Church and very active with my husband’s Southern Gospel Quartet.  I have taught private music lessons for woodwinds and double reed instruments for 34 years, and enjoy working with children of all ages.  Please feel free to speak to me about any concerns you may have about your son or daughter.  Looking forward to meeting you!

Hello, my name is Rebecca Monismith.  Your children call me, Ms. Becky.  I have lived in Carlisle all my life and am the youngest of four girls.  I have two nieces and two nephews whom I absolutely adore; it is amazing being an aunt.  I went to Carlisle High School and graduated in 2007.  I have completed my CDA and now am going for my associate’s degree to further my education.  My hobbies include fishing, riding four wheelers, being outdoors and spending time with my family.  My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years.  I love what I do.  I couldn’t ask for a better job than working with children.

Hello, my name is Julia Boardman, but best known to your children as Miss Julia.  I moved here in April 2011.  I was born in Germany, but grew up on a farm in Missouri.  I come from a very cultural diverse family and embrace it.  My home life consists of my wonderful future husband and his two beautiful kids.  I like to look at the world through kalidescope eyes, holding on to the imaginative and creative curiosity of my inner child.  Children are my passion.  Everything about them amazes me and I am blessed to have a job I do not consider to be work.  Music is also a major part of my life, as I play piano and compose.  I find it to be the universal language.  Along with music, I am a total Math nut.  There is something to be said about a system that is infinite and I am greatly intrigued.  I surround my life in love, more focused on giving than receiving.  Thank you for bringing your child here and allowing me to be a part of their development.  I will do my upmost to provide a safe, fun, and loving learning environment.

Hi, my name is Deb Kelley.  I have a wonderful husband, Jerry, and together we have raised two children and now are enjoying being grandparents.  I have been an Elementary School Instructional Aide in a public school for 16 years, which included receiving training and experience in teaching and interacting with children from Kindergarten through fifth grade.  My faith is very important to me and we are very active at our church.  The thing I love most is spending time with my family.

Hello, my name is Courtney Rouzer.  I am 22 years old and was born and raised in St. Thomas, PA.  I graduated from Shippensburg University in 2010 with a degree in elementary education and certification in early childhood.  I have always had a passion for working with children.  I did some babysitting for both my aunt and a family friend.  Some of my hobbies are basketball and reading.  I also enjoy being outdoors doing activities such as camping or biking.  I am excited to begin my career at Little Angels.  I’m looking forward to getting to know your children and have some great memories with them.

Hello!  My name is Charlotte Boettger.  I started working at Little Angels in February 2010.  My position here is a floater.  That simply means that because of my schedule I have been able to interact with children all over the center!
I have been married for twenty-five years and recently my husband and I reaffirmed our vows.  God has blessed us with two daughters, Amanda and Ashley.
Some of my hobbies are hiking, biking and canoeing.  My husband and I love to go on day trips and also enjoy cooking together.
Even before I became a mom, I have always had a love for kiddos!  I very much enjoy working at Little Angels Preschool and Child Care Center.

Hello, my name is Kathryn Boardman.  I moved here at the end of the summer season from Missouri.  I grew up in Missouri on a farm, attended a community college near St. Louis where I received my associates degree with honors.  I then attended Missouri University of Science and Technology where I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in the summer of 2010.  I spent the next year teaching college level classes at MS&T.  My experience teaching and caring for infants and children stems from my employment at a private Christian academy in Missouri for two years.  It was there that I discovered my passion for children.  There is no limit to what they can learn.
